For more than ten years I have been publishing blog posts on at least 360 of the 365 days in a year. The “secret” has been to just make it a priority every day. There have been stretches where for it’s a struggle and there have been stretches when it’s “easy.” The “easier” stretches always come when I get up early in the morning. I don’t like getting up at 4am, but it makes the writing come easier and then I don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the day.

A reflection about what goes into writing a blog …
Listening now. You’re right, there are a few things left out in my two minute post. One point of clarification I need to make is that for the five years when it wasn’t my full-time job, writing the blog posts was the first thing I did before going to work.
And yes, sometimes there is “blogging for the sake of blogging.” That’s part of how I keep the momentum.
All valid points. I think the most being the question of “why post/ blog?” That is certainly a different response for everyone. The answer will determine frequency and style for each person.
Thank you Richard for your honest response. I have seen too many fail as they create such high expectations for themselves. Personally, I would like to think I spend as much time reading as I do responding. Blogging has many parts and purposes.
