This is a follow up to a commitment made on my blog post, β€œDefault Setting or Mindful and Intentional?β€œ
I have taken up the ’12 hour’ challenge David. Some of my strategies have been to wait til I get to work to have breakfast and my first coffee of the day, as well brushing my teeth with my children therefore stopping me from snacking once they have gone to bed. I have not noticed a change in how I feel, but have found myself becoming more aware of what I eat and what constitutes calories.

  1. That’s great Aaron, smart strategy brushing your teeth with your kids!
    I can’t say I have felt much different, other than when I get hungry, my mood doesn’t change.
    My wife and my secretaries used to know when I was hungry by my temperament (I was less pleasant to be around) and that has disappeared.
    I control my diet, it doesn’t control me.
    One final thought, I still enjoy a break from this a couple nights a week, usually Friday & Saturday night… allowing for social enjoyment:)
