I think the book would benefit from more elaborations / case studies which flesh out different uses of / interpretation with the right elements. It is also intriguing what ‘digital literacies’ means today. In particular, there seems to be a lot of discussion about ‘fluency’ as being clearer answer than ‘literacies’.
I would also include a discussion of skillsets versus mindsets. I found this interpretation useful in making sense of the elements as a framework. I do not remember that necessarily being a focus in the book.
I think biggest issue in the area of digital literacies at the moment is finding balance between the what technology can do and how it is used. I eleaborated on this in response to your recent post Technology is the name we give to stuff that doesn’t work properly yet.
